Fashion designer and co-founder of the streetwear brand 424, Guillermo Andrade was born in Guatemala City, where his grandparents raised him with a focus on family, hard work, and connection to his surroundings. At nine, he immigrated to California’s Bay Area. Inspired by the world around him, he began sketching and making his own designs.

“The idea is to take a feeling. Go from feeling to product—that’s my process.”

Andrade relocated to Los Angeles, where he opened FourTwoFour on Fairfax, a conceptual retail boutique in the heart of the streetwear district. It became home to his in-house line, as well as other independent designers. Tools like Dropbox helped Andrade collaborate across distance and kept his work moving, even in the midst of the pandemic.
