Born in Southeast London to a Jamaican father and English mother, Bonner is the founder of the menswear label WALES BONNER. She uses her mixed-race heritage as a defining influence, and her collections explore representations of Black male sexuality and identity through extraordinary craft.
Bonner created “Devotional Sound,” a sound healing event in New York that wove together mysticism, spirituality, and ritual across the Black Atlantic. She brought in Solange, Brian Jackson, Laraaji, Standing on the Corner, and others to perform. She and her creative collaborators used Dropbox to bring this immersive sensory experience to life.
